I know I've done a post like this before - in fact, my first post was titled “6 Florence Instagram Accounts to Inspire Nostalgia and Wanderlust.” While this post is quite similar, I decided I wanted to share a more general outline of some awesome Instagram accounts that feature incredible photos of popular travel destinations. Ever since I studied abroad, I started following so many different travel accounts because I love looking at pictures that remind me of my time overseas. Every time I go on Instagram (my favorite social media platform), I’m bombarded by tons of pictures of beautiful places in the world.

In no particular order, I’ve rounded up my top five favorite travel accounts to follow:

1. @theprettycities. This account features pictures of – you guessed it – pretty cities all around the world! From Milan to Dublin to Boston, this page is filled with tons of beautiful pictures from cities across the globe.

2. @officialcollegetourist. This page is an extension of the blog/website, thecollegetourist.com, which is a great resource for study abroad students. The Instagram account features pictures that students submit from their adventures traveling overseas.

3. @missadventuresabroad. Another extension of a blog, this account is run by a girl named Catalina, who studied abroad in Italy and then began working as a tour guide in Florence. She posts a ton of pictures of her travels around Europe, and it reminds me a lot of my adventures wandering around Europe a few years ago!

4. @gabdetails. Gabriele Colzi is a photographer who is currently living in Florence. While most of her pictures feature the beautiful architecture around the city of Florence, she also posts pictures of her travels. Her feed is SO visually appealing and she tends to edit her pictures using the same filter and settings, so her page is very pleasing to the eyes!

5. @ruberry. Her Instagram bio reads, “I want to take good photos, drink coffee and travel the world.” Don’t we all?! Like most of these accounts, she also has her own blog. She takes some great photos that make me want to hop on a plane and head to wherever she is!

I hope these accounts also give you as much travel inspiration as they give me. What are your favorite travel accounts to follow? I’d love some suggestions! Give us your recommendations on Twitter or Instagram at @CAPAStudyAbroad.

Thanks Emily!
