One of the most wonderful and convenient aspects of living in London is the easy access to trains. You can get all the way from King’s Cross Station, which is located in central London, to Edinburgh, Scotland via train in just under five hours!

Mariam Hassan (she/her) studies Biology, Society, and Environment at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and is studying abroad in London during the summer of 2023. She knew she wanted to study abroad before she even arrived at college and is excited to immerse herself in the culture of a new country during this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Mariam is looking forward to her Comparative Health Care Systems class and learning about the differences between healthcare systems in the US and the UK, while also gaining an understanding of the UK’s workplace culture during her internship.
