Mariam Hassan (she/her) studies Biology, Society, and Environment at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and is studying abroad in London during Summer '23. She knew she wanted to study abroad before she even arrived at college and is excited to immerse herself in the culture of a new country during this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Mariam is looking forward to her Comparative Health Care Systems class and learning about the differences between healthcare systems in the U.S. and the U.K., while also gaining an understanding of the U.K.’s workplace culture during her internship. While abroad with CEA CAPA, she also plans to tour the Harry Potter studios, travel solo, gain confidence, and explore the differences between London and Minneapolis.
