With the holidays quickly approaching, I thought it would be fun to discover some local practices and traditions and compare them to home. Holidays in Australia, with it being in the Southern Hemisphere, feel completely different compared to holidays in the States, as it is now approaching its summer. This week I was able to go to an aesthetic cafe called the Grounds of Alexandria, which was decorated with Christmas ornaments and lights, and have dinner with friends. Along with the dinner, I interviewed a local friend here to ask what it was like to celebrate the holidays in Sydney. It was fascinating to hear about the similarities and differences when studying abroad.
