Dublin is a vibrant, charming, and culturally rich global city. It’s also a multicultural hub, with one in every eight residents being foreign born, AND it’s the youngest capital city in Europe, with half of the population under thirty-six years old! In Dublin you be able to taste traditional Irish dishes and have your pick of food from all over the world. You can also participate in local and international celebrations and festivals including the Dublin International Film Festival, St Patrick’s Festival, Culture Night (where all major cultural attractions are FREE!), Pride, Samhain (Halloween in Ireland), the Festival of World Cultures, Chinese New Year, and many more!

You can still study abroad and immerse yourself in Dublin this spring. Take a look at these answers to frequently asked questions regarding our spring 2021 programs to learn more about health and safety information and updated policies. Check out all of CAPA’s program options for spring, summer, and fall 2021 and find out which one is right for you:

Global Cities Program

Spring, summer, and fall

Choose from courses in business, economics, marketing, media, history, literature, and urban studies at the CAPA Dublin Center. Your classes will take you out of the classroom and into the city, where you’ll learn from your environment through excursions such as walking tours and museum visits. You’ll also immerse yourself in Dublin’s culture through fun and engaging My Global City eventssuch as tours of medieval castles and a visit to The Docklands—Ireland’s mini version of Silicon Valley. Program inclusions vary by semester and typically include a day trip to the stunning Cliffs of Moher on the west of Ireland (this famous landmark was featured in a Harry Potter movie!) and a day trip to Belfast in Northern Ireland. Belfast is steeped in history and is where the infamous Titanic was built. Both are day trips not to be missed!

You’ll live like a Dubliner and stay in an apartment within commuting distance to the CAPA Center and to your optional internship placement. The CAPA Center is located at Griffith College, one of the longest established private colleges in Ireland. Griffith’s historic campus is in a residential area in the center of Dublin, right beside Dublin’s Grand Canal.
