Hello everyone, my name is Andrea Arias, but you can call me Andy! I am a theatre major attending James Madison University, and I have a concentration in theatre education. This semester, I chose to study abroad in London. I have been placed in an internship, have been taking courses, and experiencing the joy of living in a different country.

As I near the end of my study abroad journey, I will be highlighting some aspects that have heavily impacted my semester. If you are a new reader, feel free to look back at other posts I have written, as they highlight other topics within my study abroad experience, including my internship experience.

A memorable last week in London

Time really has flown. I cannot believe that I have been here for almost four months. I have loved every moment of living here, and this experience has changed me for the better, and has allowed me to grow. I am incredibly grateful for how my time here has impacted my life, and I will never forget my time here. I decided that I really wanted to check last minute things off my bucket list that I had not been able to accomplish earlier in the semester.

I went to markets such as Brick Lane, which has an astonishing amount of clothing options, and Camden Market, which was filled with almost any kind of shop you could think of. I got a lot of Christmas presents for friends and family here, and found tons of cool antiques, knickknacks, and souvenirs.

I am a huge fan of Amy Winehouse, so I made my way through Camden to visit her grave, and her flat. I also went to the Amy: Beyond the Stage exhibit, which just recently had its grand opening.

At night, I've been going out with friends whether it's to a pub or a nice dinner. Of course, I've been studying for finals, completing all my work, wrapping up my internship, and trying to figure out just how I'm going to get all my stuff home. I'm definitely going to have to buy another suitcase"¦ but that is neither here nor there.

On Friday, the day before leaving, I am going to give any food I hadn't used to people in need and donate other items that I won't be taking with me. I am ready to go home and see my friends and family again. I love you, London. Thank you for everything.
