Harrison Nagel TikToker Profile PicMeet Harrison Nagel, an official CAPA vlogger in Barcelona, Spain for Spring 2022:

University: University of Minnesota
Major: Accounting & Finance
Study Abroad Location: Barcelona, Spain

What are you most excited for during your study abroad semester?
It looks like COVID restrictions are (hopefully) starting to loosen up a bit. We’ve all been living with restrictions for the last 1-2 years so what I’m looking forward to most is being able to get out and enjoy the world.

What are three of your hobbies and interests?
Hockey, traveling, and content creation.

What’s one personal goal you hope to achieve while abroad?
My personal goal is to soak in every moment during my time in Spain. After graduating from high school, I lived in Lima, Peru for five months and it was an amazing experience. My biggest regret from my time in Peru was not spending enough time exploring. I plan on taking advantage of every opportunity I have and making the most of every moment!

What’s one professional goal you hope to achieve during your CAPA program?
I hope to gain experience with my camera and editing skills. Although I was already planning on using my camera abroad, taking over the CAPA TikTok page will force me to use my camera and editing programs on a weekly basis! I am also looking forward to the International Finance class that I am taking.

What can we look forward to seeing in your vlogs?
Most or potentially all of my posts will be travel related. Back home, I explore a lot and love to use my camera and drone. I also love editing pictures and videos of these adventures. This program will give me the perfect opportunity to showcase my skills and tell stories about my adventures in Spain and hopefully the rest of Europe!

Anything else you'd like to say to people reading/watching for the first time?
I’m just a kid from a small town in Minnesota looking to enjoy life. So many people graduate from college and head into the workforce for thirty or forty years until they retire. I’ll be moving to Hawaii after graduation and figuring it out from there!
