What are you most excited for during your study abroad semester?
This will be my first time in Europe, so I’m excited to explore everything that London has to offer. I’m looking forward to taking film classes this semester and utilizing the equipment and audio-visual resources in the Derek Jarman Lab at the University of London.

What are three of your hobbies and interests?
Since high school, I’ve loved all elements of video production and editing, from operating the sideline instant replay camera during football games or making my sorority’s formal recruitment video. Now, I’m excited to continue this passion of mine as a vlogger for CAPA. Also, I like to stay active by working out, and I’ve always enjoyed doing anything artistic, like painting or drawing.

What’s one personal goal you hope to achieve while abroad?
As a film student, I’m hoping to attend some events at the BFI London Film Festival in October. I think it will add a nice perspective to my study abroad experience as I am learning about and producing films this semester. I find the entire industry so fascinating and hope to immerse myself in it as much as possible during my time in London.

What’s one professional goal you hope to achieve during your CAPA program?
I hope to learn a lot about video production and social media advertising as I create my own portfolio of content in my Digital Media Practice course. I want to help make concepts related to science and medicine accessible to all. A long-term goal of mine is to combine my interests and experiences in video production and content creation with dental public health and oral diseases since I hope to attend dental school in a few years!

What can we look forward to seeing in your vlogs?
As an art and history lover, I hope to visit a lot of museums and galleries in London. In my videos, I’ll be reporting on my academic experiences abroad as a film student, as well as my favorite coffee/food spots to visit throughout my days. I’m hoping to go on a few weekend trips to explore other parts of England and the surrounding areas too! I cannot wait to share all of the fun adventures I will have and the new cities and countries I hope to explore.
