Why did you choose to study abroad?
I have become passionate about traveling and love to learn new cultures and explore new things.
What is one new experience you’re hoping to have while abroad?
I’m hoping to meet new people from all around the world. I’m curious to experience what it’s like to live halfway across the world where people have had many different experiences than me.
What is something you're passionate and excited about?
I love being outdoors, so I’m excited for the nice weather, especially compared to the Minnesota winter, and in addition to exploring the city, going beyond the city and getting to explore nearby nature spots.
What class are you most looking forward to taking while abroad?
I’m most excited for my internship experience but I’m also excited for my Sports Marketing class.
What is a personal and professional goal you hope to achieve during your study abroad program this semester?
Personally, I look forward to meeting new people from all over the world and hope to challenge myself to immerse myself as much as I can in the Sydney culture, going beyond just the basic tourist things. Professionally, I look forward to my internship and being able to network with Australian professionals as well as whoever else works with the team I intern for. In addition, I look forward to learning more about Australian culture and sports and making a difference in the organization that I work with.
What can we look forward to in your posts?
When I travel, I enjoy looking beyond just the main tourist attractions and like to go in-depth and learn more about how locals spend their time. You can look forward to me trying to immerse myself in the culture and create authentic experiences for myself that I can write about. In addition, as I mentioned, I really enjoy being outdoors in nature, so you can look forward to my posts focusing on that.
