Meet Stefanie Mandel, official CAPA blogger in Florence for Fall 2015:

I totally would’ve started this off with something foreign and cute, but currently, the only sentence I can string together in a poor Italian accent is, my cat is very small. I’m hoping that’ll change with a little bit of gelato and a whole lotta’ Florence.
My name is Stefanie Mandel. I’m a born-and-raised New Yorker who stayed on the East Coast for school (but not for long!). Right now, I’m in Boston studying Writing for Film & Television at Emerson College.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about storytelling, consuming as much raw cookie dough as possible without getting salmonella, and finding a way to give up my seat to anyone over the age of 65.
While I dive into Italian culture and dabble throughout the rest of the Europe, you can expect to read the inside scoop on where to go to get the best carbs for your euro and the must-see sights that Yelp hasn’t gotten around to yet.
The closest I’ve ever been to experiencing Italy so far has been watching The Lizzie McGuire Movie or eating spaghetti and meatballs in Epcot at DisneyWorld, so, I cannot wait to see where the cobblestone streets of Florence take me!
