Meet Sydney Smith, official CAPA blogger in Dublin for Fall 2015:

Hello! My name is Sydney Smith and I’m a senior at Xavier University majoring in Psychology with a minor in Communication Arts. I will be studying abroad this fall in Dublin, Ireland! Along with taking classes, I have been given the opportunity to intern at NABCO Island Key Childcare Center—which I am VERY excited about. The focus of community development coincides with my post-graduation plans of becoming an Occupational Therapist for I have a passion for working with and supporting others to achieve their goals.
Aside from my studies, I am heavily involved in Xavier’s first-year orientation program and it is by far my favorite extracurricular activity that I am involved in. Some of my favorite pastimes include all things music—listening to music, discovering new artists, etc.—and trying new food (which I usually consume before taking a picture, but I’ll be sure to post some pictures for you). I also enjoy taking pictures, so expect to view the city from my camera’s lens!
Through my blog posts, I hope to lay out a guide to Dublin with as many unique and one-of-a-kind experiences as possible. I also hope to keep you entertained even if you’re not studying abroad in Dublin through my quirky personality and desire to explore as many new experiences as possible! I am so excited to be able to share my time in Dublin and create a unique, insider’s perspective on the city and the study abroad experience!
