Meet Minh Ta, an official CAPA blogger in Sydney, Australia for Fall 2019:
University: Augustana College
Major: Computer Science and Applied Math
Study Abroad Location: Sydney, Australia
Internship or volunteer placement: TBC
What are you most excited for during your study abroad semester?
Kangaroos! Honestly, I love to travel and to try out good food. I heard that Australia has a lot of special landmarks and animals to see, so I would love to see as many as possible. I would love to try out Australian cuisine too.
What are three of your hobbies and interests?
Code, travel in general (visiting landmarks and zoos, taking pictures, and trying out food), and going to the theater to watch movies with friends.
What’s one personal goal you hope to achieve while abroad?
Discovering Sydney in my best attempt is important, but I think it is more important to gain as much knowledge and experience as possible through the internship which CAPA helped me find.
What’s one professional goal you hope to achieve while abroad?
Apart from the things I mentioned above, I think Australia is a beautiful continent with good jobs and friendly people. I want to turn this internship into an opportunity to maybe land a job in Australia in the future.
What can we look forward to reading in your posts?
I will try to merge what I know about the world with what I experience in Sydney and present that to the reader. I am looking forward to writing interesting things I find about Australia through the lens of a global citizen.
Anything else you’d like to say to people reading for the first time?
Welcome to my personal blog! I hope you enjoy the posts about my time in Australia and maybe convince you to visit this awesome continent.
