What are you most excited for during your study abroad semester?
I am most excited about the opportunity to take courses that allow me to learn more about China’s position in global governance and dive deeper in exploring the relationship between US and China. As a political science major, I am really interested in seeing how China’s domestic policies impact its citizens’ day-to-day life.
What are three of your hobbies and interests?
My three hobbies are going to spin class, volunteering, and hiking! I am passionate about personal development and love trying things that will enhance my mental and physical wellbeing.
What’s one personal goal you hope to achieve while abroad?
A personal goal I hope to achieve while abroad is to learn about best practices in cross-cultural communication and to be able to learn from my fellow classmates and peers. I want to learn more about different people’s stories and experiences.
What’s one professional goal you hope to achieve while abroad?
One professional goal I hope to achieve is to build meaningful relationships with my coworkers in my internship placement and grow my professional network. I am interested in pursuing a career working for the US State Department so interning abroad would allow me to experience what it would be like to work in different communities and learn about different issues.
What can we look forward to reading about in your posts?
