What are you most excited for during your study abroad semester?
I am most excited about meeting new people, exploring Italy/Europe, and the Italian cuisine. Some of my friends studied abroad in Florence and loved it, so I am excited to experience it myself.

What are three of your hobbies and interests?
Growing up, I played tennis and I continued to play club tennis at college. I also enjoy exercising, and in particular I enjoy spinning and hiking. Some of my other hobbies include playing with my dogs, traveling, and cooking.

What’s one personal goal you hope to achieve while abroad?
I hope to be able to obtain confidence and independence from being in a new environment. Also, I hope to be able to converse in Italian by the end of the program. I do not have any prior experience speaking Italian, but I hope that I can pick it up from taking an Italian course.

What’s one professional goal you hope to achieve while abroad?
I hope to get a better understanding of international marketing and international business in general. Through my classes, I hope to get a better understanding of business on a global scale and also get a better sense of a career path I want to follow.

What can we look forward to reading in your posts?
I am excited to share my day-to-day experiences living in Florence, including all the good and bad experiences. I will be posting about my classes, apartment, travels, and food/gelato.

Anything else you’d like to say to people reading about you for the first time?
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy my posts. I am excited that I get to share my experiences with everyone.
