What are you most excited for during your study abroad semester?
I am most excited to meet new friends and make new connections! I cannot wait to explore around China and try all types of food with them.

What are three of your hobbies and interests?
My hobbies include exploring new locations and restaurants with friends, binging on TV series, and doing arts and crafts. I also enjoy doing some light outdoor activities like hiking and playing with my friends’ dogs.

What’s one personal goal you hope to achieve while abroad?
A personal goal of mine is to speak Chinese more fluently! I have been learning Chinese for a while, but I rarely get the opportunity to speak it. During my semester in Shanghai, I look forward to speaking Chinese on a daily basis.

What’s one professional goal you hope to achieve while abroad?
One professional goal I hope to achieve is to improve my communication and public speaking skills. I want to use this internship as an opportunity to get outside my comfort zone and network with my colleagues.

What can we look forward to seeing in your videos?
You can look forward to content about the local food, professionalism in China, China’s innovative technology and many more! I hope this will encourage more people to study and intern abroad.

Anything else you’d like to say to people reading for the first time?
Thanks for joining me on my semester abroad in Shanghai! I hope this will inspire you to study abroad in China!
