What are you most excited for during your study abroad semester?
I am thrilled to be able to live and learn in a place that’s completely new to me. It’s also a perk to have the city-like atmosphere while being steps away from gorgeous beaches (at least the photos lead me to believe this!).
What are three of your hobbies and interests?
Discovering new music/going to music festivals and shows, and breathing in salty air of beaches new and old to me, and FOOD! I’m always down to grab a bite, whether it’s a fresh acai bowl or a double-decker bacon cheeseburger.
What’s one personal goal you hope to achieve while abroad?
While I’m abroad, I hope to learn to live in the present, embrace the NOW, experience life for what it is in the moment.
What’s one professional goal you hope to achieve while abroad?
Professionally, I hope to develop my soft skills in a foreign environment and discover how to adapt these skills so they are fit to any new place I end up in.
What can we look forward to reading in your blogs?
What it’s like to travel with a chronic illness (I have cystic fibrosis), how to make the most of study abroad, a foodie’s perspective, my internship experience, and day-to-day life in Sydney.
Anything else you’d like to say to people reading for the first time?
I’m excited to share my experiences while in Sydney in order to get you excited for when the time comes for you to do it yourself!
