University: University of Missouri
Major:  Journalism and Economics
Study Abroad Location: London, England
Internship or volunteer placement: TBC

What are you most excited for during your study abroad semester?
I am most excited to understand British media more. I can’t wait to really dive into British culture at a news organization in the heart of London to learn more about UK history, economic systems, and political systems.

What are three of your hobbies and interests?
Dance, politics, and fashion.

What’s one personal goal you hope to achieve while abroad?
I’ve set a goal to open up my mind and heart enough to be immersed in the culture. I want to experience London life enough to truly feel like a native! Maybe even take a few sayings back to America with me?

What’s one professional goal you hope to achieve while abroad?
Professionally, I hope to learn British TV news writing style. I’ve only ever studied how to write for stories for American media outlets, so my goal is to learn how to write for British media.

What can we look forward to seeing in your videos?
You can look forward to a fun, cultural exploration. Basically, my goal is to take viewers along this amazing journey of discovering the differences and similarities between British and American culture. So look out for some great sightseeing, fashion talks, history and political explanations, cultural dives, and more.

Anything else you’d like to say to people reading about you for the first time?
Tag along with me as I go on this new journey! You’ll learn a few new things along the way while seeing what it’s like to venture out into a new country and job for several months.
